|
When do I get the exact address, name of the landlord/owner, etc. of the accommodation?Once you have finalized the reservation, you will receive the booking confirmation including all necessary information regarding accommodation. The whole booking process is completed when you pay us the commission fee. When, how and where do I have to pay the monthly rent? The rent must be paid at the beginning of the rent period and then respectively at the beginning of each month. If a month was not completed, you will be charged in relation to the days the service was used. For practical reasons, the rent has to be paid in Chilean Pesos directly with the landlord. Are there any fixed arrival and departure times, or when can I settle in the accommodation? In general, the accommodation can be booked at any time based on your individual itinerary of when you arrive and leave. It is important for us to know in advance when you are going to arrive in order to prepare the accommodations and to arrange the time you get your keys from the landlord. Is it possible to drink tap water? In Santiago we would recommend, especially during your first days, to drink bottled water or mineral water which is widely available in restaurants, grocery stores and supermarkets. Indeed, tap water is of drinking quality, but it is heavily chlorinated and could possibly cause an upset stomach. After some time in Santiago your stomach should get used to it and you will be able to drink tap water. Do I need an adapter for plugging electronic devices? In Chile the electrical voltage is 220V/50Hz. Therefore the units with European plug work easily without any adapters. The devices with safety plug or round plug, however, can only be used with an adapter, available at any supermarket. Who do I contact if I need further information or help during my stay?During our business hours (Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm) we are always glad to answer your questions by phone or in person. In very urgent situations, a contact person from Chile Inside is always available via an emergency phone number, which will be given to you before your arrival. What should I do if I changed my travel plans and I need accommodation for a different period of time?In case you have a binding accommodation reservation please immediately contact us in order to coordinate the changed dates into the personal agreement with the landlord. For this service, of course, we do not charge any additional fee, What if I want to stay longer than originally planned? Please immediately contact us in order to advise us of your planned departure date. We will check the availability for the desired extension period. Please note, that you must pay the difference of the commission fee to Chile Inside (Note: The fee corresponds to renting period). If the room is not available for the extended period of time, we will help you to arrange an alternative accomodation. |
