Vitacura is a residential district, a mix between pretty family houses and tall apartment buildings. Vitacura Avenue is one of the most well-known and largest entertainment areas in Santiago. It hosts a great number of bars, restaurants, pubs and discos. Unfortunately, the subway does not reach Vitacura. You can only access this area by bus, taxi or car. Borde Río, an exclusive area right by the Mapocho River is reminiscent of holidays on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, and it is another area filled with first-class restaurants and clubs.
